Wedding: Mohonk Mountain House
Daisy and Orest had a fairytale wedding at Mohonk Mountain House. What’s more romantic than getting married in a Victorian castle surrounded by 40,000 forested acres? Somehow Daisy and Orest managed to outshine their stunning venue with their devotion to one another.
One of my favorite moments was watching Daisy walk down the aisle with her daughter as her flower girl.
Every single detail was beautiful and meticulously thought out, right down to the floral arrangements (crafted with daisies, as an ode to the bride!).
The reception didn’t miss a step with its stunning view, twinkling candles, simple florals, and long family-style table that let the couple sit surrounded by everyone they loved. Everyone had a blast, and it was amazing to watch Orest, Daisy, and her daughter make their family official.
Their Love Story
No wonder Daisy and Orest’s romance is beautiful— it began in a hair salon! Orest’s best friend managed the hair salon where Daisy and her sister worked. Despite always thinking Orest was cute, Daisy never really spoke to him when he’d come in for haircuts. It wasn’t until a few years later, in a new salon, that Orest asked Daisy’s sister who “the pretty girl” was. She immediately switched into matchmaking mode, snatched their cell phones, and exchanged their numbers. Thank goodness she did, because the rest is history!
